“He Wants to Be Perfect”- Trainer Reveals Errol Spence Jr’s “Key Element” Ahead of Facing Manny Pacquiao

Even at 42, Manny Pacquiao will be a serious threat to the WBC/IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr’s unbeaten run as a pro boxer. Following back-to-back wins over Keith Thurman and Adrien Broner in 2019, Pacquiao seems ready for a career-defining run at very the dusk of his legendary pro-ride. That said, he has some legitimate chances of winning the fight.

However, Spence Jr’s team believes that the 31-year-old will be the 8 man to beat the great Manny Pacquiao. Trainer Derrick James shed light on why Errol Spence Jr. stands out amongst everyone.

27-0 as a pro, ‘The Truth’ has 21 KOs under his belt. He is regarded as one of the best welterweights of the era. Besides, he will relish some serious physical advantages which can help him breakthrough ‘Pac-Man’. As Pacquiao hasn’t faced a legitimate southpaw in years, Errol Spence Jr. can offer him a tough challenge.

Meanwhile, the long-lay off from Pacquiao’s side can also be a matter of concern for him. Despite that, he will have his 71-fight experience to fall back on and he will have the fans in his corner. But will it be enough to overcome ‘The Truth’?

Meanwhile, Errol Spence Jr., who scored a sensational win over Mikey Garcia two months later, desired to face Pacquiao.

However, Manny Pacquiao returned in July to take out an undefeated Keith Thurman for the WBA 147 lbs title. In response, Spence Jr. vanquished Shawn Porter two months later. Later that year, ‘The Truth’ suffered a life-threatening car accident and spent a year on the sidelines, before returning with a bang in December 2020.
