Lightweight contender Frank Martin proved he belonged among the top boxers in the division. He proved this after a dominant performance over Michel Rivera securing a one-sided decision in a 12-round title eliminator. Moreover, he was not shy to call out the top contenders including WBA regular champion Gervonta Davis and undisputed champion Devin Haney.

Martin revealed this after he was asked who he would want to face next and called out Tank and Haney. “We can get Gervonta Davis, We Can get Devin Haney. We can get any of those top guys” he said.

However, the fans weren’t too keen about Martin’s call-outs and gave him a harsh reality check as they reacted to this.

One fan wondered why every boxer thought Davis was an easy fight.

Another fan outright  stated that he won’t beat either of the two fighters he called out.

“He not beating Haney or tank,” he wrote.

Moreover, one fan mocked Martin insinuating that he wanted to get a payday with this.

“ey dey pey dey pey dey *in canelo’s voice ” he wrote.

Another fan claimed that Martin was afraid to call out Shakur Stevenson.

Lastly, one fan stated that he should not challenge Davis who will ‘eat him’ in a match.

Don’t you come for Davis, man is a beast, he will eat yu alive ! Allah!” he wrote.

The fans were not shy to claim that Martin is not yet on the level of the top contenders. Moreover, Davis and Haney also have a number of contenders they could face before Martin with ‘Tank’ vs Ryan Garcia in the works for April.

A fight between Davis and Garcia is one fans have longed for. However, the bout has never materialized but this could all change next year as a bout between the two is in the works. In addition, their heated feud leading up to this fight only adds to the charm for fans.

Garcia has even canceled his tune-up fight this January claiming that he wanted to be fully healthy to face Davis. This could be a sign that the fight is almost done but first ‘Tank’ has to overcome Hector Luis Garcia on January 7 which many feel he will easily do.
