Ryan Garcia made a statement on July 16 after he finished Javier Fortuna in an emphatic fashion, knocking him out in the 6th round. This was supposed to be Garcia’s toughest challenge yet, however, he made quick work of the Dominican boxer and was in control throughout the fight.

Moreover, The Flash hasn’t been shy to boast about his victory and celebrate as he posted a picture with music icon and rapper Lil Wayne on the set of the NFL with the caption ‘Young Money and The New Money’, referring to Wanye’s famous nickname.

This was enough to send fans into a frenzy as they came out and reacted to this post, commenting on the unusual pairing.

Fans were quick to praise both of them for their achievements as one fan wrote, “Boxing GOAT n Rap GOAT” making a play at the caption and referring to both as the greatest of all time in their fields.

Another fan stated that Garcia kicked Fortuna’s “a**”  and that he looked spectacular in the fight, “Man you kicked his A*S! Looked amazing brother.” he wrote

Moreover, another fan even suggested that Garcia should have Wanye walk him out if he ever fights long-time rival Gervonta Davis. He wrote, “Have Wayne walk you out at the Tank fight”

Furthermore, Garcia even posted the same picture on Instagram and the fans did not disappoint as they reacted to the post on the platform. One fan hilariously stated that Lil Wayne would have been a better opponent for Garcia than Fortuna, “He Would Have Been a Better Challenger Than Fortuna” he wrote.

It looks like there was mutual praise and appreciation for Garcia, who has long been criticized for being an “Instagram Boxer”. However, with his dominating performance against Fortuna, he has proved many doubters wrong. At just 23 years old, the sky is the limit for Garcia at this stage of his career.
