Undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez is not uncomfortable with the idea of moving around in weight to enhance his boxing legacy. After conquering 160 and 168, he will be making his return to the light heavyweight division with a fight against Dmitry Bivol. Eddie Hearn’s thoughts on Canelo Alvarez vs Oleksandr Usyk

A potential Alvarez vs Usyk showdown has been in talks for a while. Recently, Hearn made the revelation about Alvarez’s desire to fight for the heavyweight titles.

Hearn and Australian boxer Skye Nicolson were in an interview with JOE UK. The duo was talking as a part of the promotions for the then-upcoming Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano bout. Hearn was also promoting the Alvarez vs Bivol fight.

In conversation, the Matchroom supremo spoke about Alvarez’s mindset. He also added that Canelo wants to foray into the heavyweight division, saying, “He genuinely believes he can beat Oleksandr Usyk for the world heavyweight title. He said to me, ‘If you can make that fight at 1lb above cruiserweight (200lbs), I will beat him.'”

Benson, in turn, took to social media to share Hearn’s statement as a tweet.
