Old is gold! We often hear this line from our elders in our homes or society. The new video released by veteran boxer Bernard Hopkins proves this statement to be true. In the latest video he posted on Instagram, Bernard Hopkins was seen to have some boxing training during his jogging even at this age.

Boxing reporter, Elie Seckbach, shared the video on his Instagram handle today. Bernard Hopkins showed his punches and impressive footwork in the video and not only that, but he also danced for a little. However, after the video went viral, boxing fans could not keep themselves calm and praised the legendary boxer for his skills. Some people also claimed that ‘The Excruitioner’ can easily defeat the lightweight champion, Devin Haney’s father and coach, Bill Haney.

He dominated Oscar De La Hoya in the ninth round of 2004 with an impressive knockout. The fight was for the middleweight title, however, Hopkins was able to win the match with ease. In 2011, Hopkins became the oldest boxer to ever receive a world title by vanquishing Haitian boxer Jean Pascal and winning the heavyweight world title. At that time he was 46 and still he managed to beat his opponent who was just 28 years old. All these incidents demonstrate how capable he was in his time.

His recent video has shown that he is still capable of fighting, as evidenced by Elie Seckbach’s recent posting. In the video, he was seen punching like a boxer in his prime. Elie Seckbach wrote, “The legendary hall of fame champion @bhopdaalien working out looking sharp repping #esnews”. Even at age 58, fans are astonished by the athlete’s smooth punching technique.
