Frank Warren believes that Deontay Wilder hit a dead end in his career with Tyson Fury in February.

The English promoter, in a bizarre move, claimed that he will probably lock in a fixture for Daniel Dubois to go up against Wilder by the end of this year.

Even though Dubois is a fresher as compared to Wilder, Warren is almost sure that he will outshine The Bronze Bomber.

In an interview on Queensberry Promotions’ Lockdown Lowdown, Warren said, “If Daniel comes through his fight with Joyce, then yes. By the end of the year, yes.”

“Dynamite” would have gone up against fellow Brit Joe Joyce come 11 July 2020. However, the bout may see the light of the day much later because of the prevailing pandemic.

Warren feels that Dubois will be just enough to put Wilder to an end. According to him, Fury exploited Wilder’s weakness so much that Wilder might face a downhill trajectory for the remaining part of his career, even though he holds an astonishing record.

“Tyson has shown how beatable Wilder is. Once their rematch is out the way, I’d have no problem matching Daniel with Deontay. Wilder is good, don’t get me wrong, but my man will be miles better in time.”

Can Dubois really beat Deontay Wilder? Here’s what Frank Warren thinks

Daniel Dubois really is as talented as they come. The Brit has a clean record in the 14 fights he has had. Out of the 14 opponents he has faced, he knocked 13 out. His immense power is also something everyone lauds. Something very similar to Wilder himself. But Warren thinks of Daniel as a much more complete boxer.

“Daniel’s big and powerful and everyone knows he can punch, too”, said Warren. “But he’s a good boxer. I’ve said before that he has a Larry Holmes-like jab and he works the body as well as any heavyweight on earth. Daniel is the best Heavyweight prospect on Planet Earth and he’ll have far too much for Deontay Wilder. I truly believe that.”
