Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is set to take on Anthony Joshua in a rematch after beating the British Boxer in the first meeting. Moreover, it has been over three years since the Ukrainian boxer moved up to fight in the heavyweight division and is already at the top of the division along with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Tyson Fury sounds off on Usyk

Fury recently appeared in an interview with IFLTV and shared his thoughts on Usyk and stated that he cannot be compared with him and also referred to him as a ‘Blown up Middleweight‘ saying, “Oleksandr Usyk’s only just come into this generation one fight ago, so you can’t put him in it… He’s a middleweight blown up, he can’t compare”.

Fury looks confident that he will beat Usyk in a boxing match and thinks that he is too small to compete in the division. However, Usyk might have bigger fish to fry at the moment, as he will look to beat Joshua and retain his status as the unified heavyweight champion.

The pair will face each other on August 20 in Saudi Arabia and Usyk will have the bragging rights coming into the fight as he outboxed Josuha in the first fight, winning via unanimous decision. Moreover, this will be the first time that ‘AJ’ will be the underdog in his career.

However, Joshua will certainly be motivated to regain the titles back from Usyk and he is known to make comebacks. Previously, he beat Andy Ruiz Jr. after he lost to the Mexican boxer in 2019. Furthermore, there is still a slim possibility that Tyson Fury might also face the winner of this match to unify all four titles.
