In the world of boxing, certain matchups capture the imagination of fans and ignite discussions about potential battles that could redefine the sport. One such highly anticipated bout is between former heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. There have been many attempts in the past to make this fight happen when both were champions but the fight never came to fruition.
However, with recent developments in Saudi Arabia and their bid to host a super event in December, the fight might take place in the Middle East this year. The speculation for this fight only increased after both camps revealed that there were ongoing talks to book a fight between the former champions.
‘AJ’s’ promoter Eddie Hearn has come out and backed his client in a potential matchup against ‘The Bronze Bomber’. In a recent interview with TheFightIsRight, he claimed that the British boxer could outbox Wilder. He also added that the Olympic medalist is not the same fighter after his three fights with Tyson Fury. “I think he can outbox Wilder, I really do… Also don’t forget, we don’t really know where Wilder’s at in terms of his punch resistance, everything. He may not be the same fighter after those Tyson Fury fights,” he said.

While Hearn is confident that Joshua could beat Wilder in a boxing match, the fans did not share the same sentiment. The notion that Joshua is being picked over Wilder in a potential matchup has sparked controversy within the boxing community. Moreover, some fans were quick to jump in and call out Hearn as they reacted to his take on the fight.
Eddie Hearn’s prediction for Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder sparks debate in the boxing community
A user named Aide Dews claimed that Joshua could not handle a big hit. According to him, while ‘AJ’ has the power to knock out Wilder, the latter definitely has the advantage in this area.
But AJ can’t take a big hit, he’s been hurt by people who punch nowhere near has hard as what wilder does. That’s what makes it interesting, AJ has the power to stop wilder but wilder definitely has the power to sleep AJ

Another user saw Wilder beating Joshua based on his current performance against Jermaine Franklin.
Unless Joshua comes out firing and aggressive all I see is a Wilder KO at some point in the fight. If he fights like he did against Franklin he will get sparked.

Moreover, a user also claimed that every fighter who tried to go technical with Wilder was knocked out. He added that he preferred the time Joshua fought more like a knockout artist.
@EddieHearn *Every* fighter that has tried to outbox Wilder, got KO'd or got a draw. Fury put it on Wilder and destroyed him. The blueprint is there. Going on about outboxing opponents just tells us he is scared of being hit and gun shy. We enjoyed AJ being a KO artist. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

Then, one user predicted that Wilder would beat Joshua within five rounds. They think that ‘AJ’ doesn’t have what it takes to beat his American rival.
I really like AJ. But Wilder beats him within 5 rounds. AJ doesn't have the heart to best Wilder. He'll go in there try and play safe as shown in all his fights since the Ruiz loss and Wilder will sense the fear from a mile away.
