While in conversation with Frank Warren, Ray Winstone admits watching Joshua lose his titles to Andy Ruiz was worrisome. However, he cannot wait to watch Anthony Joshua take on Tyson Fury in an attempt to unify the heavyweight titles.

“I think Tyson Fury is in front!”, exclaims the 63-year-old boxing fan. Based on the performance Fury put up in his grudge match with Deontay Wilder early this year. “The way he boxed was fantastic, he’s a very clever fighter.” He adds that Fury “absolutely destroyed” Deontay Wilder.
Ray Winstone Admits to Frank Warren That He Thought Joshua Was Done
He goes on to praise Fury’s domestic rival, Anthony Joshua. However, Winstone admits that after watching Joshua’s devastating loss to Ruiz, he felt Joshua had given up.
“He got to a stage where it looked like he wasn’t hungry anymore, wasn’t thinking anymore and he wasn’t boxing anymore. He was leading with his chin and he looked stiff. He’ll get knocked spark out once he gets in with someone half useful.”- Ray Winstone to Frank Warren
