“He’s Going to Be in Trouble” – Errol Spence Jr. Issues a Warning to Manny Pacquiao

On August 21, the welterweight sensation Errol Spence Jr. will take on the biggest fight of his life. The WBC and IBF welterweight champion will enter a massive 12-round showdown against boxing’s all-time legend, Manny Pacquiao. Despite this being the toughest and perhaps the most important fight of his career, Spence Jr. is staying extremely composed.

Talking to Barbershop Conversations recently, Spence Jr. shed some light on this contest and even issued a fiery warning to ‘Pacman’.

He said, ”I’m preparing my body to get into training camp mode and do the best that I can, to get into the best shape that I can, and be as strong as I can, to knock out Manny Pacquiao and send him off into retirement.”

“He should be looking at the Chris Algieri, Lamont Peterson and the Kell Brook fight. If he’s looking at the last fight looking for weakness, he’s going to be in trouble.” (h/t Boxing Scene)

The Filippino Senator hasn’t fought for a while and he’s directly going up against Spence Jr. who’s stayed highly active. In his last fight, ‘The Truth’ hammered Danny Garcia and issued a cosmic statement in the fight world.

With his above comments, ‘The Truth’ seems to be in the most ideal mindset for his fight against ‘Pacman’.

That said, ‘Pacman’ is all set to take on yet another intriguing fight in his career. But it’s unclear whether this will be his last ring outing.

Because pertaining to his retirement, nothing official has been revealed from his team. It’ll be interesting to see if Pacquiao really hangs his gloves after the Spence Jr. fight.
