In just a brief span of time, Eddie Hearn and Oscar De La Hoya’s rift has increased. Over the past few months, the pair hasn’t spared a single opportunity to mock each other. There’s no real information on when things escalated between the two.

A few months back, ‘Golden Boy’ tweeted a screenshot wherein the Brit was seen taking a jibe at his prime fighter Canelo Alvarez.

Canelo was first associated with De La Hoya’s promotions, but they parted ways and the p4p star joined hands with Hearn. ‘Golden Boy’ didn’t like this and tweeted one of Eddie Hearn’s old statements about Canelo. All of this is in the past, but De La Hoya still mocks the British promoter.

Recently, Hearn was in a chat with iFL TV, where he spoke about his foe, De La Hoya.

“Someone needs to grab hold of him and just take his social media off him, because it’s bizarre stuff. Listen we’re in a circus and he’s the circus clown, so let him play… They say no one knows me in America, but he don’t stop talking about me. He’s supposed to be this massive star in America, so if he wants to keep talking about me, keep going mate,” he said.

Hearn is known for his business acumen, but more than that, he’s renowned for giving it back to his enemies. That said, in his above statement, the Matchroom MD went all out against De La Hoya.
