It appears Dmitry Bivol has to deal with troubling matters in his personal life before he tends to matters in the squared circle. Ekaterina alleges Dmitry Bivol doesn’t understand what it means to be a father

Sharing a clip of herself and her two sons, Miron Bivol and Nikon Bivol, while driving with a Russian song playing in the background, Ekaterina poured her heart out in the caption. The duo got married on July 13, 2013, and separated on August 2023. Their 16-year relationship ended after Bivol rose to fame by defeating the Mexican Superstar Canelo Alvarez, only the second to do so since Floyd Mayweather. Something that Ekaterina feels was the starting point of the downfall of their marriage.

Just a few days ago, Bivol’s ex-wife revealed on the social media platform TikTok that her ex-husband had transformed into a “devil” since he defeated Canelo. She went as far as to suggest that the money he made from the bout got into Bivol’s head. “You won in the ring but in life, you lose, you lost, because this money, this power it made you crazy,” said Ekaterina on TikTok. Having said that, why did Dmitry Bivol and his ex-wife separate?

Alleged domestic violence

Since their divorce, the couple initially cited no specific reason for the split. However, Ekaterina later made serious accusations against Bivol and his mother. She alleged that they subjected her to physical and psychological abuse, sharing photographic evidence on a string of Instagram stories. Ekaterina also claimed that her father prevented her from reporting the abuse to the police, despite their children witnessing the violence. “And then you sat there and told my dad that I hit myself,” Ekaterina wrote, expressing her distress over the situation. “DADDY PREVENTED ME [FROM GOING] to the police… May 3, 2023. The children saw everything,” she further added.

Having said that, it’s vital to remember these are allegations and nothing has been proven in the court of law. Regardless, Bivol’s ex-wife doesn’t seem to be having the best time, as Dmitry Bivol is about to enter the ring for the biggest fight of his career. What did you think about the whole thing?
