Controversial social media star Andrew Tate has become famous for his antics online turning into one of the most popular influencers on the planet in just a year’s time. However, before ‘Top G’ set his sights on the internet he was busy pursuing a kickboxing career. In addition, he also managed to be quite successful in it.

According to BoxRec, Tate competed in the ISKA organization where he would be crowned the organization’s champion a whopping four times. Along with this he also had a kickboxing record of 78 – 9 before he hung up his gloves. This lead many to believe that Tate was a world-class kickboxer. However, this perception might be changing as people see more videos of ‘Top G’ sparring.

Andrew Tate spars with former UFC fighter

A recent video showed Tate sparring with former UFC middleweight contender Luke Barnatt in an MMA fight. Although the session was very lighthearted in nature it did give us a glimpse of what Tate moves like and some insight into his fighting style.

However, fans were shocked to see the ‘Mafia’ kickboxer looking like an amateur in the ring. In addition. they were also quick to roast Tate calling out his boxing skills and giving him a taste of his own medicine.

Fans roast Andrew Tate’s sparring session

One fan stated that although he liked Tate he didn’t understand how he was a world champion. He claimed that Tate had his chin up and hands down which contradicts the first rule of combat sports, “protect yourself at all times”.

Another fan praised Tate’s kick but revealed that his hands were not up to par. He added that while Tate could do well in a kickboxing match, he would be easily beaten by the likes of KSI and Jake Paul in a boxing match.

One fan hilariously stated that Tate looked more like “Bottom G” rather than a ‘Top G.’

A fan claimed that he thought Tate would have better movement given that he was a world-champion kickboxer.

Lastly, one fan made fun of Tate for recently being taken into police custody from his house in Romania.

The fans were not shy to call out Tate for his somewhat mediocre fighting skills. However, this sparring session lacked the intent of a real fight and was just a friendly training session. Moreover, Tate has not competed in the ring for years which might be the reason he seemed a little rusty.

Despite all this, one cannot deny his accomplishments in kickboxing becoming a world champion in the sport. With that being said, Tate has always been a fighter who relied on his footwork and head movement with a lower-guard fighting style. This might be the reason why his chin might be up and his hand down.
