Following his defeat to Haney, ‘Ferocious’ stated a strong message during the post-fight press conference. He said, “Yeah, I’ve been through the adversities many times. Billed as ‘Undisputed’, the fight between George Kambosos Jr. and Devin Haney drew the attention of the entire globe. The bout took place on June 4 at the Marvel Arena in Melbourne, Australia. The Australian pugilist was defending his WBA, IBF, and WBO titles, while ‘The Dream’ was defending his WBC title.

The lightweight unification match went on for 12 rounds. Both boxers showed excellent footwork and strong jabs. But, Haney was having an upper hand from the beginning of the fight as he dominated ‘Ferocious’. Eventually, Haney outclassed his opponent and was declared the winner via decision.

Surprisingly, even though ‘Ferocious’ lost the bout, he got a guaranteed amount of a whopping $10 million. In addition, Haney was guaranteed $2.8 million, but the winner must have earned way better than this.
