Sylvester Stallone is one of the most profound and prolific actors of all time. The Rocky star has been featured in more than 90 commercial films. However, he is best known for the Rocky franchise. Stallone has been an inspiration to many young boxers, even though he was not a professional boxer himself. His movies landed him a place in the prestigious Boxing Hall of Fame.
However, all good things come to an end. So is the case with the Rocky franchise. In an interview with British talk show host Jonathan Ross, Stallone revealed his least favorite Rocky film and why the series ended at volume six.

Sylvester Stallone reveals why he did not continue the ‘Rocky’ film series
Stallone was featured as the protagonist for all the Rocky films. The series halted after the sixth installment. In an interview with Jonathan Ross, he revealed his least favorite movie in the Rocky franchise and also why he had to put a halt to the series. Notably, the interview was aired on February 15th, 2008.
In a post on Facebook by @fridaynightjonathanross, a clip from the interview re-surfaced. Stallone revealed that he did that sixth volume as he was very dissatisfied with the fifth one. He states, “Rocky 5. Uh 0. That bad. It was just goose egg. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to do the last one. Because, I said, you know, if you are going to end up do something like so bad. That was the impetus to do that.”
Thereafter, Stallone also revealed that due to his health concerns and his age, he ended the franchise and moved on. In a satirical response, he stated, “No, I am going to do what I am going to do. I am not going to fight arthritis. Well, How about a clogged artery.”

Stallone is one of the best actors in recent times. The character of ‘Rocky Balboa’ moved many individuals and it was wise for the actor to not continue with the strenuous lifestyle the character demanded.

Stallone’s long-standing owner dispute with ‘Rocky’ producers
Stallone has been an integral part of Rocky and Creed films. Last year, he stated that the producers of the film are withholding a significant stake in the franchise from him. As per Variety, he stated, “I have zero ownership of ‘Rocky’.” He added, “It was shocking that it never came to be, but I was told, ‘Hey, you got paid, so what are you complaining about?’ I was furious.”
