Garcia took to social media to share his love for his grandmother. In an Instagram post, he said, “Rip My Beautiful Grandma. Your spirit and Soul Join the Glory of God in paradise and that brings me peace and happiness, I am sad and it hurts down in my core bc I don’t see you physically or hear you talk to me about God and things going on in the world.”

Moreover, he also added that he misses his grandmother a lot. Garcia also mentioned that she was the sweetest and most loving grandmother. And that he will continue making her proud of his career. In fact, he ended his post by stating that he will meet her again in Paradise.

It is certain that Ryan Garcia had a special place in his heart for his grandmother. As such, he even gave tribute to her with his tracksuit ahead of his comeback fight with Emmanuel Tagoe.

Gym shark created a tracksuit for Garcia in collaboration with the London-based embroidery studio Hand & Lock. Notably, the tracksuit includes many elements that Garcia considers his driving force. In fact, the tracksuit includes his daughters’ names on each of the cuffs. It also includes a dedication to his grandmother, in his own handwriting, close to his heart.
