Canelo Alvarez will be looking to get back to winning ways after his devastating loss to Dmitry Bivol in May. The Mexican boxer will now face Gennady Golovkin in the final chapter of their iconic rivalry. The bout will take place on September 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with Alvarez’s WBA, WBC, IBF, IBO, and Ring titles on the line.

However, it looks like Alvarez might be fighting with the wrong people ahead of his match against ‘GGG’. The Mexican boxer recently trained with a reporter from BarStool sports and bruised his arm in the process.

In a video uploaded by the channel, a reporter took a deep dive into the training sessions of Alvarez leading up to the fight. However, he made the grave mistake of lacing up his gloves and sparring with the unified super-middleweight champion.

Unsurprisingly, Alvarez ended up bruising the left arm of the reporter, leaving it dysfunctional. “Me and Canelo did about probably about a round and a half, and I asked him to hit me at some point. He graciously obliged by uh dead-arming me on my left on my dominant arm,” said the reporter.

Moreover, the reporter then revealed his arm a week later with red spots all over it. He stated that this was ‘elderly abuse’ by Alvarez and that his lawyers were on their way to take pictures of his arm. “Back in HQ new york and my lawyer is on his way in take some pictures of this it’s a 50-year-old man I believe it’s elder abuse got a couple more of them. I’m polka dotted like a f****g cartoon dinosaur thanks Canelo.” he added.

The fight between the two boxing icons will certainly be a great main event for any card. However, there are also many other exciting matchups on the undercard of the event. WBC Super Flyweight champion Jesse Rodriguez will defend his title against Israel Gonzalez in the co-main event of the card.

Other bouts include Ali Akhmedov vs Gabriel Rosado for the IBF North American super middleweight title and Austin Williams vs Kieron Conway for the vacant WBA International Middleweight title. This event poses some very interesting bouts that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.
