In a chat with FightHype.com, Rolando Romero said, “I am the hardest puncher in the world under 147 lbs. So nobody can say s*** about it, you know. I can hurt him. Gervonta has power, he can crack, another thing. I can’t take that away from him. But like I said, I am a harder puncher. I am a harder puncher, I am longer, I am awkward.”

Akin to Davis, Rolando Romero is also an undefeated boxer with a record of 13-0, including 11 KOs. The stats put him on a similar level to Gervonta Davis. While Romero is yet to bag a world title, he has already made a massive noise in the combat world with his unprecedented prowess. Following Gervonta Davis’ win against Mario Barrios for the WBA (regular) 140 lbs belt, his promoter, Floyd Mayweather, revealed the next steps for ‘Tank’. Per ‘TBE’, Gervonta Davis will compete against the fighters from PBC and Mayweather Promotions as of now. While it puts several fantasy fights into jeopardy, Davis vs Romero can still take place as the latter is under Mayweather Promotions.

Both the fighters come from Mayweather Promotions and currently hold impressive resumes. Although Davis’ world championship status puts him away ahead of Romero, ‘Rolly’ can still be a tough opponent.
