Former UFC 170lbs champion Tyron Woodley has sent a stern message to his upcoming rival Jake Paul as he appears ready to go against the 24-year-old in a Showtime PPV on August 28th. Following his split with the UFC, Woodley could have gone to some other MMA promotion.

However, he has chosen to make a debut in the boxing world and has vowed to take out Jake Paul from the entire conversation. Reporter Michael Benson revealed Woodley’s statement on his next opponent where ‘The Chosen One’ has shown almost no respect towards the YouTube boxer.

“Easiest fight and biggest purse of my career. They brought me in to take out the trash. I can’t wait to shut this bitch up. This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy [from] combat sports,” said Tyron Woodley.

Although the ex-champion ended his UFC journey on a four-fight losing streak, he can still become a terrific challenge for Jake Paul. MMA experts regard Woodley as one of the best fighters around the world. Hence, the upcoming move can bring him back to the spotlight, along with a lavish pay-check.

Meanwhile, it would also be an important fight for Jake Paul. Following a record of 3-0 as a boxer, Woodley would be his toughest opponent so far. Although Paul has vanquished a former MMA champion in Ben Askren, he wasn’t a reputed striker.

While Woodley brings all the necessary features into the fight, a win against him would be an enormous achievement for ‘The Problem Child’. But it would never be an undemanding task for the YouTube boxer.

Can Tyron Woodley knock Jake Paul out?

‘T-Wood’ is a scary puncher and several MMA elites like Josh Koscheck and Carlos Condit have fallen pretty to his power shots. While Woodley didn’t appear the same in his last 4 UFC fights, his striking game appeared to be on point.

Following his title loss to Kamaru Usman, which was a lopsided defeat, Woodley’s opponents exploited his disadvantage in the ground, and also dominated him on the feet. That said ‘The Chosen One’ showcased some intense power in those fights. He expressed his punches that didn’t turn out to be fruitful.

All these features make him a vicious opponent for Jake Paul, who just has three professional fights under his name.

Nevertheless, if Woodley loses to Paul, it would be the biggest scratch in his fighting legacy. Hence, the matchup would store a lot for the fans.

Do you think Tyron Woodley will have an easy night against Jake Paul?
