The former unified light-welterweight world champion, Amir Khan, was last seen in a showdown against Kell Brook on February 19, 2022. Even though he showcased an impressive performance, Brook emerged as the winner via TKO. Meanwhile, it looks like the ghosts of this fight have come to prey on Khan. He was recently banned for two years after his failed doping tests for this fight came to light. Brook, on the other, had a few choice words to say about the failed tests.

Khan was issued a two-year ban after the UKAD found traces of Ostarine in his system. Brook was recently in an interview with iFLTV. When talking about Khan’s failed tests, he did not mince words while saying, “It makes me feel sick. I have got three beautiful kids. He’s gone in there to try and hurt me on some sort of drug he’s been on. It is a f*cking joke.”

Brook further added, “It could have been a completely different story, I could be in a wheelchair now, him seriously destroying my life or killed me or crippled me forever. He came into that ring cheating, trying to boost himself up or whatever he’s done trying to get the advantage, not doing it in a 12-week camp. He needs to pay bad.”

However, Khan has contended that he never cheated. It is worth mentioning that the ban came after he retired from the sport. Additionally, he also claimed that the presence of the drug in his system might have been from “shaking people’s hands”.
