Oscar De La Hoya appears optimistic about his much-awaited in-ring return, as he will take on the UFC veteran Vitor Belfort in a boxing scrap in September. However, the ex-champion doesn’t want to overlook Belfort’s abilities. ‘The Phenom’ would dwarf ‘The Golden Boy’ under the physical attributes, which might be costly for De La Hoya in the fight.

Although the Mexican-American doesn’t doubt his chances, the veteran boxer admitted that he didn’t realize how big Vitor Belfort was. The 48-year-old shed his opinion on the fight in a chat with Lance Pugmire.

Oscar De La Hoya said, “He is a big guy. I didn’t realize how big he was. He is a big guy, Jesus, but it’s all right I have a good chin. You know as long as I have my stamina, which obviously I will. I mean, I won’t go inside the ring not having stamina. But I am feeling good, I am feeling great.”
