Ahead of the upcoming grudge battle between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk, there are several speculations stating that the English star Heavyweight might collide with interim heavyweight Joseph Parker to gain a rhythm.

The former unified champion Anthony Joshua spoke to ‘Behind the Gloves’ after Deji Olatunji vs Alex Wassabi’s fight in London. Notably, he was there in attendance. While talking about the circumstances that are delaying his rematch to land, he said, “No problem, I’ll fight whatever, smoke him as well.”

Further, taking Parker on target, AJ added, “I’ll put Joseph Parker. My record shows, it’s a fight at the end of the day what for me to like. I don’t give a f**k. I’ll fight whoever, whenever it’s only a fight. What I’m trying to say so I’ll fight 100 percent.”

Notably, because of the mandatory rematch clause, the Ukrainian champ Usyk has to face two-time heavyweight stalwart, Joshua. However, due to the heavy instability in the reigning champion’s country, the date and venue of the much-awaited event are in uncertainty and it might take longer.

For the uninitiated, AJ is keen to fill that spell of inactivity by taking a shot against an underdog.

What does Joseph Parker think about clashing with Anthony Joshua?

Prior to AJ opening up with media personnel, former WBC heavyweight titleholder Joe Parker had clarified that he is eager to face Joshua.

He said, “I will take that fight. I mean Usyk and Klitschko and Lomachenko, they’re all busy and taking up what’s happening with their country and respect to them for going back and defending their country.”

According to Parker, if he gets the opportunity, he will love to fight Joshua.

Notably, in the first British blockbuster, the champion AJ was thrashed by WBO mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk in the biggest upset of the year. It was the second loss for Joshua while defending his unified title.

On September 25, 2021, Usyk showcased a splendid set of skills and stunned the champion. From the initial rounds, the challenger out jabbed the British star and finally ended with a win via unanimous decision.

Since then, Joshua is sweating hard to regain his throne. However, as of now, this rematch is in doubt, so there is a possibility that Joshua might return to the ring again with some other opponent.
