Standing a few weeks away from the clash, Errol Spence Jr. seems ready for the career-defining matchup. That said, he gave more than one reason to validate his claim that this fight will be Manny Pacquiao’s last appearance. PBC on FOX posted a clip on social media where the WBC/IBF champion shared views on his upcoming opponent.

Errol Spence Jr. said, “I think he’ll retire after this fight. I mean, he has a lot of obligations in the Philippines. Knowing what I can do and knowing what I want to do, I don’t see him [Pacquiao] coming back anytime soon or ever.”

In his last appearance in December 2020, Spence Jr. vanquished Danny Garcia to retain his championships. However, as the American boxer had returned from a life-threatening car accident, he didn’t appear to be at his peak.

Starting from size, age, and activeness, Spence Jr. will dwarf Pacquaio under umpteen parameters. Meanwhile, Pacquaio’s impeccable skills, fight IQ, and experience will back him up thoroughly. Though Spence Jr’s southpaw stance can play a pivotal role.

As Pacquiao hasn’t faced an elite-level southpaw in several years, ‘The Truth’ can offer an uncanny action inside the ring. This points towards a possible 50-50 clash, which can be sheerly intriguing to watch for the fans.
