Dillian Whyte addressed a big issue following his defeat on Saturday night. The challenger claimed that Tyson Fury used illegal techniques, which eventually resulted in a technical knockout.

‘The Body Snatcher‘ elaborated on it in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports.

He said, “When the uppercut landed I was buzzed, but obviously [when I] was trying to regather my sense, he proper full-on pushed me. I fell over and hit my head on the canvas, which is illegal. This ain’t wrestling, this is boxing. As usual, they let [Tyson] Fury do what he wants and get away with it. I should’ve been allowed extra time to recover and then carry on fighting.”

Dillian Whyte believed it was not the uppercut that knocked him out, but it was the wild push from Fury‘s end that hurt him. This was the reason he could not gather himself while the referee was making a count.

Were ‘Illegal’ techniques used in the fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte?

The WBC and the Ring champion, Tyson Fury, kept his titles in a mega show on Saturday. He delivered a picturesque hand that seized the challenger in the center of the ring.

However, the fight did not end as smoothly as it sounds. There were various controversial moves used by both fighters that became the highlight later on.

On the one hand, Dillian Whyte claimed that pushing is not part of boxing. It cost him a loss. Whereas Fury highlighted the bad intentions of Whyte in the post-fight press conference. He said that Whyte was frustrated. He was slow. So he tried to manhandle him.

In the fight, when Whyte was lagging and could not land punches. He pushed ‘The Gypsy King’ on the canvas, hitting elbows, and used forearms to control the champion. However, Fury made it clear that he has no complaints about it as it is part of the game.

Albeit, Tyson Fury’s pushing did not sit well with Dillian Whyte.
