Richard Commey put up a valiant fight against Vasyl Lomachenko. The pair faced each other at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York. This fight was important for both former champions.

Both Lomachenko and Commey were on their way to a title shot. This fight would be the decider as to which fighter would earn that shot. Lomachenko looked back at his dominant best as he outboxed a taller and stronger opponent.

Following his loss to Lomachenko, Richard Commey was disappointed. He felt he let down his country and his people and he spoke about it during his post-fight interview. “I fight for my country, I fight for my people, I let them down, but I believe I’m gonna come back stronger.”

Commey won the hearts of boxing fans. He made no excuses and just admitted that Lomachenko was the better man on that day. Vasyl Lomachenko started off the fight slow. In his classic fighting prowess, he studied his opponent, hardly throwing in the first few rounds.

Lomachenko works like a computer, downloading information on his opponent’s fighting style and then unleashing a fighting style to perfectly counter it. He lulls opponents to sleep by hardly throwing during the opening exchanges.

As the fight progress, the Ukrainian adapts to every move of his opponent and becomes a completely different animal, when he finds his rhythm. Can anyone stop ‘The Matrix’?
