YouTube sensation KSI was not happy following his brother Deji’s swift dismissal at the hands of Floyd Mayweather. The pair recently competed in an exhibition match at the Coca-Cola arena in Dubai with Mayweather dominating proceedings and fishing Deji in the sixth round.

However, his brother KSI, who was present ringside for the bout, thinks that his brother gave an underwhelming performance. In a video uploaded on his YouTube channel, he gave a full assessment of the bout. KSI stated that he was very angry that Deji could not beat ‘Money’ and wanted to jump in the ring and fight in place of his brother. Moreover, he claimed that Deji could have beaten ‘TBE‘ which was all the more infuriating that he failed to do so.

“I hated it. I wanted to get in that ring and f*** Floyd up. It’s infuriating to see Deji losing to someone I know he could beat. I know you’re gonna be like, ‘There’s no way Deji could beat Mayweather,’ but I feel like I could beat Mayweather” said KSI.

Deji has now suffered 3 losses in his 4 fights, as many feel that his boxing career will not hold up for long. However, he did manage to land a punch on Mayweather, giving him a black eye. Despite that, KSI feels that his brother could certainly improve to reach the level that he is currently on.

Floyd Mayweather responds to exhibition criticism

Mayweather has now competed in five exhibition matches since retiring from boxing back in 2017. However, these fights have garnered him a lot of criticism for cherry-picking opponents and fighting Internet stars instead of real boxers. Mayweather has now clapped back on these criticisms, claiming that he cares more about the financial aspect of fights rather than legacy building.

“A lot of time people say, ‘Oh, Floyd have to do exhibitions. My philosophy is never stop getting it (money). Currency over legacy. Currency over legacy. Believe me, if I don’t ever do another exhibition in my life, I can live a great life.” he said.

This aspect of Mayweather has not been new to the world of boxing. Since ‘Pretty Boy’ change his name to ‘Money’ all his fights look to get the most possible income for him, even if it means choosing more popular but far less skilled opponents.
