Rolando Florencio Romero Moreno, popularly known as ‘Rolly’ Romero, has been the talk of the town due to his upcoming fight with Gervonta Davis. The 26-year-old from Las Vegas is an interim lightweight champion and is all set to box the WBA (Regular) lightweight champion ‘Tank’ Davis in 10 days in Brooklyn. However, he was asked for his take on a fight set to take place in Australia.

In a recent interview with The Schmo, ‘Rolly’ Romero was quizzed whether Devin Haney would back out of his fight against George Kambosos Jr. as he missed the press conference.

Romero replied, “I don’t know, maybe…who knows? I don’t know, it has nothing to do with me, I don’t care about Devin Haney. I think he’s a horrible fighter, I think he’s a very chinny fighter and I think he’s very inferior to everybody else in the division. And I hope Kambosos knocks his a** out.”

As ‘The Dream’ missed the press conference, ‘Ferocious‘ Kambosos Jr. booed Haney for not being there.

The two will fight at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, on June 5. However, one week before that, all eyes will be on the bout in New York.

Both boxers have an outstanding resume since they have never lost a fight. While ‘Tank Davis’ has a (26-0-0) record, Romero has a record of (14-0-0).

Davis and Romero were scheduled to fight in Los Angeles on December 5, 2021, but the bout met the scrapheap. However, six months later, it is back on and both men will look to extend their unbeaten streaks and advance to a potential undisputed title fight.
