Tyson and Green met first time in the ring back in 1986. It was not a title fight, but the intensity was nowhere less than that. Green, who was a gang leader along with practicing sports, lost this bout by decision. Nevertheless, he showed great heart and survived all rounds in front of Tyson’s devastating offense. However, this was the fight that the world witnessed on record, but do you know about the rematch duo had on the street, which was completely savage?
In an episode of HotBoxin, the former two-time heavyweight champion narrated the entire incident.

What did Mike Tyson say?

‘The Baddest man on Planet’ recalled how he came across Green in Harlem while shopping in Dapper Dan’s store.

When the 56-year-old stepped inside the store, he would have never thought that he would meet his longtime gangster rival, who was part of a New York Gang. He went there to shop. Meanwhile, Green got the information that Tyson had entered his boundary. This was an opportunity for Green to settle a longtime business.

It was around 4 in the morning and Green caught Tyson in the store. He was in all moods to neutralize Tyson, but the latter had already made up his mind from stepping back. Therefore, after a brief verbal exchange, both engaged in a fierce fight. They began throwing bare knuckles at each other. It was horrific to watch.

“He was talking a lot. He was just talking a lot and um I really thought he was grabbing from my pocket and trying to pull my pockets out because he pulled my ripped, my pack, all the money to fall but I won’t have a chance to get my money. I have to fight this cat right and then my money’s to the wolves”, Tyson said,
He further continued, “So anyway that’s when I started punching him and I dropped him off a couple of times but he was high on angels so he kept getting upright. Just like Friday the 13th the [ __ ] Michael Myers that guy you talk about this in your show boom. I knock him cold boom.”

The fight did not stop there. Green chased Tyson to his car. Both were drunk. Tyson again hit him on the street, leaving the latter in an unconscious state. After hitting Green, Tyson ran from there. He was scared because he thought he had murdered Green.
