Amanda Serrano is a pugilist with many layers! She is an elite-level boxer and an undefeated mixed martial artist, and she is reportedly really into music and baseball. In a recent twist of faith, ‘The Real Deal’ Serrano wrote a heartfelt message for Daddy Yankee, supporting his baseball team, Cangrejeros de Santurce. However, this wasn’t the first time these two made the headlines together.

Previously, the former unified featherweight champion of the world attended Yankee’s concert in Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot – with front-row seats, no less. The Puerto Rico native even tweeted about it, and three days after the concert, the pair were spotted together during the Yankees team’s baseball match. So, of course, Serrano had to post about it on Instagram with a message supporting the baseball team.

Amanda Serrano thanks Daddy Yankee for shout-out

Turning to Instagram, Serrano began by claiming she showed up to watch the Cangrejeros de Santurce’s match to support them. “Came to support my islands Baseball team, Los Cangrejeros,” wrote Serrano. She revealed that the team was owned by Daddy Yankee, who is also from her island in Puerto Rico. “Who happen to be owned by my Islands Legend @daddyyankee,” wrote Serrano.

In addition, Serrano thanked Yankee for the shout-out during the concert she attended previously. If the shout-out wasn’t enough, Yankee even added her name to the lyrics of one of his songs. So, Serrano wrote, “I’m so grateful to him for my beautiful shoutout at his concert the other night. He even went as far as adding my name to his song. I’m Blessed!” With that out of the way, Serrano has been the talk of the town for making a bold statement in the sport.

Serrano’s message to sanctioning bodies

Recently, the WBC refused to acknowledge Serrano’s fight against Danila Ramos, as it was the first-ever twelve-three-minute female boxing match. While other sanctioning bodies green-lit the fight, the WBC held their ground about the decision. So, the undisputed female boxer turned to Instagram with a stern message for the sanctioning bodies.

“Moving forward, if a sanctioning body doesn’t want to give me and my fellow fighters the choice to fight the same as the men, then I will not be fighting for that sanctioning body,” wrote Serrano. Later in the post, she condemned the WBC for failing to grow with the sport and claimed, “I am relinquishing their title.”
