In a recent interview, Lopez opened up about his decision to retire. He revealed to his fans that he had put forward one condition to return to the boxing ring. Lopez stripped Taylor of the WBO light welterweight championship title. And, now is a seven-time world champion. Looking at his boxing record, many fans will agree that retirement is not the way to go. And, it seems like, after all, it may not be on one condition.

While making an appearance on The Porter Way Podcast, the new light-welterweight champion opened up about his decision to retire and put forward a single condition to make his return to the ring. Lopez has been able to achieve big milestones at a young age. And is one of the most exceptional boxers today.

Lopez said, “Any way you get teofimo back is nine-figure contract deal.” It seems like Lopez has increased his market value as an athlete. “I made ESPN over $100 million. And I am still getting paid a million dollars,” said ‘The Takeover’ while highlighting the vast difference between the two amounts. Moreover, the 25-year-old talked about other boxers who are earning more than him despite bringing in less money.

He further stated, added, “Where some of the other fighters who haven’t done even the quarter of what I’ve done, they’re getting paid 10-12 million.” It seems like the Brooklyn-raised champion wants his share of the pie.
