Undefeated American middleweight boxer Claressa Shields recounted her hilarious run-in with promoter Eddie Hearn while talking about the recent call-out she received from Savannah Marshall.

Marshall became the WBO middleweight champion after beating Hannah Rankin on the undercard of Chisora-Usyk.  This is what Shields had to say.

Shields wasted no time in responding to the call-out. She said, “Savannah Marshall this, Savannah Marshall that. Come on! I’m tired of talking about it. She knows what’s up, Y’all know what’s up. Y’all know. Everybody from the UK all y’all can do is talk shit. Y’all can do nothing else but that.”

Moreover, the American said that the only thing people are talking about is her loss to Savannah Marshall as an Amateur.

Shields also spoke about how much she wants this fight and has asked Eddie Hearn to make it. She said, “Eddie Hearn know I told him that. You give me a fight with Savannah Marshall, I’ll love you forever.

“I told him that to his face. He said, ‘I’m going to take your word on it.’ I said, ‘I’m telling you. You give me the fight with Savannah Marshall, and I’ll love you forever.’ “

Then Shields shared a hilarious account of meeting Eddie Hearn at an airport. She said, “And then I see him at the airport and I punched him in the d*ck. A little tap-tap. But I put a little bit on him. But not a lot, just enough to make him feel it.” Knowing Shields, it is safe to assume that this is true, although it was all light-hearted.

Shields said she still likes Eddie Hearn but believes he oversells a lot.

“I like Eddie Hearn. He’s a cool dude. I think he has a lot of personality. I like the dude. But you know, when it comes to boxing and stuff though, he’ll sell you a wet dream. And I ain’t got time for that sh*t.”

The drama has not stopped there. Shields has been very vocal on her Twitter. The undefeated champion said she will knock out Marshall and shut her up. After her victory, Marshall said Shields doesn’t want the fight, and this has clearly angered Shields. This will surely make for an exciting fight, and hopefully, we get to see it in 2021.
