Marriage can often be a double-edged sword for many people. This certainly was the case with boxing legend Mike Tyson. The former heavyweight champion has been married thrice in his life, going through a lot of ups and downs in these marriages. Moreover, Iron Mike shockingly detailed an incident where he had got into a fight with his wife just before their wedding.

In his podcast Hotboxin’ with hip-hop icon Juelz Santana, Tyson revealed how he sounded off on his third wife Lakhia Spicer just before they got married while the hosts were discussing marriages and relationships. ” Right before my wife we got married, you know well now we have money. So we get married and send for all our friends across the country. We get ready to um unveil the cover and they’re gonna see these two beautiful people right before they open the for the marriage these two happy couples and married for 10, 12 years whatever it was. Right before I said f**k you bi**h, you stupid a*s mother****r.” said Tyson.

However, he then stated that he had made up with his wife immediately after this. He also claimed that it creeped him out to think about the last time he could see her. ” I love you baby and that’s why I have just always been real with my baby. You know what’s so creepy about the um I didn’t want to talk to Angie about it. I look at my wife one day and I said, well when’s gonna be the last time I fear,” he added.

Tyson feels that there are many ups and downs in marriage, but the important thing is to stay real and transparent with your partner for a successful marriage.

Iron Mike’s first marriage was with American Model Robin Givens. However, it was short-lived as the pair would split up just a year into their marriage. Tyson would then marry Monica Turner, a marriage that lasted six years. Finally, he would go on to marry for the third and last time to Lakiha Spicer.

The pair first met when she was just 18 years old and got married back in 2009. Moreover, although Tyson has admitted he faced a fair share of challenges and complications in his marriage, he does credit her for rescuing him from his demons.
