Oleksandr Usyk has proved himself to be one of the best Heavyweight boxers in the sport. The two-division world champion is known for his unmatched speed inside the ring and humble personality outside. The Ukrainian became the Heavyweight unified world champion in 2021 when he beat Anthony Joshua via unanimous decision. But, he did not want to stop at that and has been eying a super fight against a well-cherished boxer in the sport. But, the fight has witnessed only disappointment till now.

In a recent interview, Usyk discussed his potential fight against WBC Heavyweight champ Tyson Fury and explained why the duo should meet in the ring. Both sides have been in talks for a long time without coming to any positive conclusion.

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk: Clash of the Heavyweight titans

In an interview with The Overlap, SkySports, Usyk discussed fighting Tyson Fury and why these wrecking forces must clash. This fight is well-awaited by the boxing community, and it would be a thrilling event for the world to spectate. Both fighters are the highest contenders in the Heavyweight division.

Usyk said,I need this fight, and I think he needs it too, This fight is very important for both of us because all four belts haven’t been held by one person for 30 years in the Heavyweight division. So, both of us need this fight.” The Ukrainian further claimed that he is not afraid of ‘the Gypsy King,’ and is willing to fight him. Usyk is eager to get hold of all the titles and be the next undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world.

He also said,This will be like any other fight. It’s just a big man who has never lost before against a man who has the WBC belt. It’s possible to get carried away, but actually, this is a normal fight for the right to win all belts.” If this clash gets finalized, the boxing world will go berserk. Both champs will be risking their undefeated professional record for glory. This fight will decide who is the better Heavyweight and worthy of becoming the undisputed champ. Meanwhile, John Fury revealed the problem that is hindering the finalization of the fight.
