British heavyweight boxer Nathan Gorman will try to bounce back from his crushing KO loss against Daniel Dubois when he faces Richard Lartey on October 10.

While Dubois halted Gorman’s undefeated run, the latter would want to get back into the winning ways. However, several reasons could have affected Gorman’s performance the night he locked horns with Daniel Dubois.

As per Gorman, his family issues had bothered him throughout the training camp and he couldn’t prepare well for the bout. Mentioning it as the biggest fight of his career, the heavyweight boxer revealed that his son was unwell. Thus, he couldn’t deploy excessive energy going into the contest.

BT Sport has recently posted a video, which showcases Gorman’s recent training session. While he is confident about his upcoming fight, the loss against Dubois still stings.

Talking about the loss, Gorman said, “My little boy wasn’t very well. He was in intensive care for 3-4 weeks for Pneumonia. Thus wasn’t a good preparation for the biggest fight of my life. I had a 10-week camp, and I spent 6-7 weeks in the hospital bed”

Further, but his daughter was also born in the same week. As per Gorman, she also had to go through some medical complexities. Thus, he couldn’t concentrate on his fight. No wonder he had to suffer the consequences.

While Dubois was the aggressor in the contest, Gorman couldn’t offer much in response. Instead, he wobbled and got knocked out by Dubois’ brutal shots in the fifth round. Although he was the underdog,  many believed that Gorman could have won the fight.

Gorman is ready to return now. That said, he cannot afford to demean his upcoming opponent, Richard Lartey. Lartey had also faced a KO defeat against Dubois in his last appearance. Thus, he too has something to fight for.
