The foundation of being prepared to manage one’s emotions is by introspecting and recognizing the emotion one feels. Boxing legend Mike Tyson was not one who could master this form, as he was notorious for letting his emotions get the better of him on and off the ring.

Tyson rarely showed any sign of fear during his boxing career and took on some of the toughest challenges during the time. However, at 56 years old, he has seemingly changed his outlook on life. While he did have a hard childhood that made him somewhat immune to venting out his emotions, even he felt depressed after hearing from renowned actor Mario Lopez.

The day Mike Tyson came back from the dead

Tyson has lived a very outlandish life, to say the least. However, one experiment tops the outrageous things Iron Mike has done throughout his life. In an interview with the New York Post, Tyson revealed the story of how he once consumed a psychotropic drug, known as toad poison.

He claimed that it was a godly experience and felt like dying and then coming back to life. “On these trips, I have seen that death is beautiful. Life and death must be beautiful, but death has a very bad reputation.” He said. The drug is a hallucinogenic compound extracted from the Colorado River toad, that induces hallucinations similar to psychotropic drugs like DMT.
