“I Stole His Plane”: Freddie Roach Narrates Untold Mike Tyson Story

Mike Tyson is always associated with some of the most unusual and amusing anecdotes in combat sports history. Right from a young age, Tyson became a paramount star of the game, who experienced a string of controversies and achieved many accolades. ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ has seen it all and is unique in every way.

Recently, his former coach, Freddie Roach, spilled the beans on a hilarious anecdote. He talked about how he stole one of Tyson’s planes and ‘Iron’ Mike’s reaction to the same.

Speaking to Es News, he said, “We have to take off now, or my time is up. I can’t, I can’t fly the plane anymore… So they were looking at me. And I say, I’m not making that decision. Well Freddie, ‘You’re the boss’. I said is there another plane for Mike, he says ya. I says if he comes late, no problems.”

“He says yeah, we’re okay. I say, Now if we take off now and he gives him the plane, are we still gonna get charged for both planes.”

“We weren’t paying for it anyway, so I said let’s go and I stole his plane.”

Roach later revealed that Tyson didn’t let him inside his room for five days.

This is just one of the countless stories involving Mike Tyson. Back when he was in his prime, ‘Iron’ Mike lived a lavish life as he owned mansions, cars, planes, and even a tiger.
