“I think he needs more…”: Canelo Alvarez reveals What’s Missing in Ryan Garcia Before the Gervonta Davis Fight

Boxing fans were ecstatic after Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis’s fight became official. Both fighters are pumped up for the biggest showdown of the year on the 15th of April. Not only fans, but even superstar boxers are also waiting with bated breath for the Davis vs Garcia bout. And most of them have something to say about the fight.

The champion boxer, Canelo Alvarez, has also given his opinion on the most anticipated fight.

Replying to a question, “Garcia or Davis?”, asked by a TMZ sports interviewer, he didn’t clearly choose a side but emphasized the fact that Gervonta got more ‘experience’.

The bout between Garcia and Tank had been generating a lot of buzz for a while. However, there was no confirmation on the news, until ESPN’s Mike Coppinger brought the inside scoop to light. He stated that the fight will take place in Las Vegas on the prescribed date of 15th April.

In the lightweight category, both fighters are potent opponents. On one hand, Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis proved his mettle in his last fight with Hector Luis Garcia on January 7 by defeating him in the 9th round as the latter retired on his stool after taking a shot from Davis in the closing moments of the 8th round that messed up his vision

On the other hand, Garcia holds an undisputed record of 23-0. However, Garcia has been out of the ring for quite some time. However, Garcia has impressive boxing skills in his repertoire.

Meanwhile, Canelo Alvarez says Garcia is still lacking something that might hold him back.

Canelo is one of the most experienced fighters in the boxing universe and his words hold some significant weight. In an interview with TMZ Sports, Canelo was asked to choose between Garcia and Davis.

The interviewer asks, “You won’t go with Garcia, you think Gervonta is beat him up huh?”

Alvarez said, “No Garcia is a good fighter, He has a lot of talent, but I think he needs more fight.
