Following a sensational seventh-round TKO win over Luke Campbell, WBC Interim champion Ryan Garcia wants to have a crack at Gervonta Davis.

‘KingRy’ called out ‘Tank’ in the post-fight interview, and if everything falls in place, the lightweight thriller can happen in early 2021. Both Garcia and Davis knocked out their rivals, and it makes sense to pit them against each other.

While Garcia took seven rounds to finish Campbell tonight, Gervonta Davis took six to finish Leo Santa Cruz with an uppercut on October 31.

That said, both the champions were pushed to the corner by their opponents. However, the unbeaten champions sealed impressive wins and enhanced their resumes with incredible stoppage wins.

Ryan Garcia could have called out any other champions in the division. But the 22-year-old desired to lock horns against Gervonta Davis, before turning attention to others.

When asked about his next opponent, ‘KingRy’ said, “Man, I really want to be a man of my word, I wanna fight Tank. I know people are worried, you know about that one but I am ready.”

If that’s not enough. ‘King’ Garcia passed a similar message in interaction with Fight Hub. He had a clear message for Gervonta Davis.

“I wanna fight Tank, I am a man of my word. That’s what I want… I know Tank is an explosive puncher, but he had troubles with Leo Santa Cruz,” said Garcia.

Despite directing all his attention to Davis, he also tagged Haney as a legitimate opponent. Either fight will be intriguing as it will pit two champions against each other.

So, fight fans can gear up for another lightweight thriller between two elite KO artists from the active roster.

Garcia and Davis faced adversity in their respective bouts. However, they still punched their way to victory. While Davis KOed Santa Cruz with a right upper-cut, Garcia sealed the win with a left hook body shot.

Unless ‘Tank’ and ‘KingRy’ collide, it will be hard to say who is better. A collision is inevitable, and 2021 seems to be a perfect time. For the time being, Garcia will enjoy his win and then get back into the gym alongside trainer Eddy Reynoso.

Do you think Ryan Garcia can KO Gervonta Davis if the duo fight each other?
