Holly Sonders, a five-year veteran of Golf Channel’s Morning Drive, moved to Fox Sports in 2015 to head up the network’s coverage of USGA. In 2018, after covering various championships like the U.S. Open, she proceeded to college football studio telecasts. However, she left the network with a sense of pride in 2019.

Sonders’ path met retired boxer Oscar De La Hoya at Bally’s Fight Night in June 2021, where she interviewed boxers. Their connection grew as De La Hoya co-created the event. The two were later seen together on a date at Nobu in Malibu in August 2021, and they officially announced their relationship on Instagram in November of the same year. This development followed De La Hoya’s announcement of a comeback to boxing, marking 13 years since his last fight. Sonders celebrated the occasion on Twitter, sharing a photo from Bally’s Fight Night.
