The 42-1-1 boxer spoke to Premier Boxing Champions on an Instagram Livestream, and Fighthype.com caught onto it. When asked about a potential undisputed title bout with Anthony Joshua, Wilder said,

“Y’all already know what I want, man. But, as I’m hearing, they’re already making up excuses. You know we’re going to hear about mandatories and that other bullsh*t, man. But I want them to keep that same energy.”

Thus, this comment showed Wilder believes Joshua will duck him. He then added, “They tried to make the Fury fight. So, I mean, sh*t, he said it ain’t about the man, it’s about the person with the belt, right? Alright then, we’re going to hold their word to that.”

Now, as seen with the Tyson Fury agreement, money is no longer an issue for Anthony Joshua and his team. Therefore, it is no surprise that Deontay Wilder wants to see the same enthusiasm to make the fight if he wins. However, based on his comments, he is already pessimistic about it happening.

What do you make of these comments from Deontay Wilder? Do you think Anthony Joshua will fight him if he wins?
