Cruiserweight icon Oleksandr Usyk is ready to enrich his heavyweight journey by stepping up against Dereck ‘War’ Chisora on October 31 in a 12-rounder headlining battle. Meanwhile, he has already sighted some big matchups, including the current world champions, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, in the future.
Although none of the world champions are available at this point, the Ukrainian boxer believes that he will face both of them somewhere down the line. That said, Usyk needs to surpass Dereck Chisora primarily.

Despite being an undefeated elite, Usyk is still new to the heavyweight division. That said, Chisora might bring a lot of challenges for him inside the ring. If Usyk successfully gets over those challenges, he can expect the heavyweight biggies like Fury and Joshua ahead.
Oleksandr Usyk wants Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua for himself
The 33-year-old has already proven his caliber in the cruiserweight division by becoming the undisputed champion. Thus, he doesn’t need to begin the trail from the bottom in his heavyweight run. Instead, he just needs to defeat Chisora to enter the title picture with the other top-rated heavyweights.

Meanwhile, Usyk isn’t bothered about it and is solely focused on Chisora at this point. Speaking with IFL TV, the Ukrainian great said, “I am not in, I am not (thinking) now in fight(ing) Anthony Joshua. I am now only think(ing) Saturday. You know.”
After the fight, he will clearly look up to the divisional heads as he already wants to fight Fury and Joshua. Usyk added, “I am interested in the name who will fight Tyson Fury. Let him regard myself as well. I think I will fight both of them (Fury and Joshua), not the same day but in a row.”

Anthony Joshua will defend his WBO, WBA, IBO, and IBF titles against Kubrat Pulev in a 12-round fight on December 12. Thus, he is out of Usyk’s radar for the time. Also, Tyson Fury will appear in December against an unannounced name.
Thus, Usyk is clearly not fighting any of the two champions soon. Yet, his inception into the division has clearly opened up some alternative way for fresh matchups ahead.
