“I Will Fight Both of Them” – Oleksandr Usyk Issues a Statement on Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua

Oleksandr Usyk will take on boxing veteran Derek Chisora this weekend inside the SSE Arena in London. Initially scheduled to take place inside the O2 Arena in London on 23 May 2020, the hugely anticipated showdown was pushed to Oct. 31 due to the pandemic.
Oleksandr Usyk has been the mandatory title challenger for quite some time now. Additionally, a win over Derek Chisora will shoot him to the top of the ranks. There’s a reason to believe that the current WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua might have to vacate the title belt to pave way for the Ukrainian boxer.

Talking about a potential fight with Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, Usyk stated that he is solely concentrating on Saturday’s fight against Chisora. However, he added that he is confident about facing both the boxers in the future.
“I think I will fight both of them. Not the same day, but in a row,” Usyk said. The Russian boxer also credited Tyson Fury for remaining active.
However, Derek Chisora won’t be an easy fight for the undefeated boxer who will look to further cement his position in the heavyweight division.
Chisora is also looking at a title opportunity should he get past Usyk. He has looked incredible with three straight victories inside the ring since dropping a KO loss to Dillian Whyte back in December 2018.

Oleksandr Usyk’s jump to the heavyweight division has also raised a lot of questions. However, the former cruiserweight champion paid no heed to those questions.

“What they think about me is their problem. I will not give any answers because I don’t have to give any answers,” Usyk said.

“He is doing a great job, keeping himself active. Some guys consider themselves really, really great and I want to fight only big names. This guy always stays in the ring, and he doesn’t care much about his opponent. He wants to remain active. He wants to fight,” Usyk said about Fury.
Tyson Fury will defend his WBC gold against either Agit Kabayel or Carlos Takam. However, nothing has been made official yet.
