The bout between Jermell Charlo and Brian Castano ended in a disheartening draw. Both the fighters came out with the best game plan of their boxing careers and looked to smother each other with their absolute classic boxing prowess. Also, with their sheer brilliance, they kept the hardcore and casual boxing lovers on their toes throughout.
In a post-fight interview, ‘Iron Man’ gave his take on this bout and he lauded his contemporary’s performance. He said, “The draw was, you know, wouldn’t what I wanted to hear. If anything, I won this fight. I hurt him way more than he did. And Brian Castano is a top warrior. He gave a lot of people problems but, like I said, my power’s some serious at this weight division.”

The fight didn’t begin on a sublime note for Charlo, but in the second round, he tried to turn the tide in his favor. However, the underdog, Castano, who was in his own flow, landed some thunderous hits on ‘Iron Man’.
At one point in the fight, it seemed as if the Argentinian boxer would knock Charlo out. But the latter kept control and held his nerves to counter-attack Castano with his fiery jabs and solid right hands. He had his fair share of moments inside the ring and round 10 saw Charlo going all out against his rival.
However, Castano put the pressure back on Charlo and took this fight to the last bell.
