Although he seemed not unbeatable in his last two clashes against Tyson Fury, Wilder ended up with an unprecedented run in the heavyweight division, knocking out everyone on his way to success. However, Deontay Wilder’s entry into the sport didn’t reflect him to reach where he is today. He started boxing just to improve his financial condition at the age of 21, which is considered a bit late for the sport.

Wilder could still become a world champion and one of the best of his generation. That said, he connected with Byron Scott alongside his wife Telli Swift and recollected how he got too much into his training, which ultimately left him in a bizarre state.

Deontay Wilder said, “When I first got into, I was like damn, I had to train this much and I got to the point where I was training so much that I was like. It couldn’t switch off in my head. I would be fighting in my sleep at times.”
