In the scandalous debacle, ‘Sweethands’ slapped Jermall Charlo, the reigning WBC middleweight champion, in the face. Plant alleges that Charlo instigated the situation by pulling his beard and using insulting language.

Plant later discussed the event on his Instagram Live, saying that despite his warnings, Charlo continued to agitate him by tugging on his beard and touching his face. Feeling the need to protect himself, particularly with his wife in attendance, Plant retaliated.
