Dillian Whyte shares where Anthony Joshua’s vulnerability

He said,Listen Joshua’s a great fighter and all that but he’s vulnerable. He’s vulnerable to getting hit high on the right side of his head. It’s the punch that he got hit with against Andy Ruiz. If you hit him on the side of his head, he goes over, I don’t know if he’s got an equilibrium problem or whatever.”

‘AJ’ suffered his only professional loss to date against American Andy Ruiz Jr. He lost the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles via 7th round TKO. The fight was taken on short notice after Jarrell Miller was denied a boxing license. But, ‘The Villain’ admitted ‘AJ’ underestimated his opponent and got “carried away.”

‘AJ’ proved naysayers wrong just 6 months later when he went the distance, avenged his only professional loss and reclaimed his titles. Like Ruiz, Whyte too wants a rematch.

The duo fought in December 2015. Both boxers went further in a professional bout than they had ever gone in their professional careers. ‘The Villain’ earned plaudits as he managed to absorb AJ’s knockout blows on multiple occasions.

After that defeat, ‘The Villain’ is on an 11 bout unbeaten streak. Recently the WBC Interim Heavyweight Champion commented on AJ’s next challenger Kubrat Pulev and called it a “dead fight” against “real cabbage.”

“He should be fighting me not Pulev,” said ‘The Body Snatcher.’

However, AJ is not running away from ‘The Villain’ and always faces those who earn title shots. A Boxing News 24 report claims ‘The Villain’ passed a chance to compete in such an eliminator in 2018. Later he turned down the chance to box the Ukrainian who is set to face ‘AJ’ later in the year.

Will Pulev heed ‘The Villain’s advice and target the side of AJ’s head?
