Valdez responded, saying, “I’m not biting, no one’s ear.”

However, he quickly added, “I hope I don’t get my ear bit.”

Valdez also hilariously mentioned that if bitten, he will gladly return the favor. He said, “I don’t think it will get to that level. Hopefully, I don’t get my ear bit off. I’ll bite him back if he bites me.”

An earful with ‘Iron Mike’

Mike Tyson faced the behemoth, Evander Holyfield, for their WBA heavyweight championship rematch on June 28, 1997. The fight, which was infamously billed as the ‘Bite Fight’, gained notoriety for being one of the strangest events in boxing history.

In the last forty seconds of the third round, Holyfield got Tyson in a clinch. Tyson rolled his head around and bit Holyfield’s right ear.
