Unified welterweight world champion Errol Spence Jr. and three-division world champion, Terence Crawford are two of the most iconic names in the division. And a fight between the duo has been one of the most anticipated showdowns in the welterweight division. There were recent reports that revealed that the duo is in talks for a potential fight. Meanwhile, Crawford had also called out the undisputed light middleweight champion, Jermell Charlo, for a fight. And Spence was quick to share his thoughts on the Crawford-Charlo showdown.

Spence Jr. was hanging out with his team when ES NEWS caught up with him. While talking with the crew, the interviewer asked them about their thoughts on Crawford fighting Charlo. This was when Spence Jr. pitched in saying, “He ain’t fighting no Jermell. Sh*t. If I can’t fight him, he ain’t fighting Jermell. If I can’t fight, you at the loop.”

The interviewer further mentioned that Crawford had called Charlo out. In response, Spence Jr. cemented his statement, saying, “It don’t matter what it did. Sh*t, it ain’t happening. It’s clickbait. He can talk all he wants. I guarantee it’s not going to happen.”

This statement came at a time when there have been issues regarding the negotiations between Spence and Crawford. While there were talks about their negotiations, it was reported that Crawford had walked away from the same.

Spence, on the other hand, mentioned that he still wishes to fight Crawford. However, he added that it would not take place in the first quarter of 2023.

Crawford was not too pleased with Spence’s statements. Moreover, took to social media to lash out at Spence. And it should be mentioned that he did not mince his words.

Crawford went on to refer to Spence as Charlo’s ‘daddy’. And even went on to hilariously apologize to him for talking to his ‘son’. Crawford also took a dig at Spence by drawing parallels to frying a fish.
