Oleksandr Usyk is effortlessly funny on social media. The undefeated Ukrainian professional boxer opened up about his social media antics and revealed that he is not trying to entertain anyone. However, boxing fans might think otherwise.
“I don’t consider myself to be a hilarious person. Things I know and things I share on my Instagram, on my social accounts is the way I use to live. This is kind of my lifestyle. I am not trying to entertain anyone, this is how I use to live,” Usyk said.
Oleksandr Usyk is a fan-favorite for numerous reasons. The Ukrainian boxer continues to entertain his fans around the globe. From dancing inside the ring to hilariously calling out heavyweight boxer Derek Chisora ahead of his much-anticipated showdown this weekend, the undefeated boxer is likable.
Ahead of the matchup, even heavyweight contender, Derek Chisora, credited Oleksandr Usyk for being an absolute sport.
“Very cool, I like it. He’s got a good sense of humor which is amazing. I like it. He doesn’t take anything too hard. He’s a great dancer, great comedian which is amazing. So it’s quite cool,” Chisora said.
While one might feel that Oleksandr Usyk is doing all this in front of the camera, the Ukrainian boxer stated that this is how he carries himself. Negating any possibility of doing everything he does just to get mere followers, Usyk clarified that he is not here to entertain anybody.
Oleksandr Usyk has been the mandatory WBO challenger for quite some time now. However, the undefeated Ukrainian fighter has failed to get his hands on the belt. Set to make his heavyweight return against a seasoned veteran like Derek Chisora, many believe that Usyk might fall short against the heavyweight elite.
However, it would be too soon to write-off the former world champion, and Olympic gold medalist, who has repeatedly proved his mettle inside the boxing ring.
Additionally, Chisora could be looking at a title opportunity with a win over Usyk. Needless to say, it promises to be an exciting battle between two of the best boxers of the modern era.
