Ryan Garcia determined to secure the contract for Luke Campbell fight

Fans usually see the boxer testing out his speedy jabs. Here he aims to showcase his moniker of  ‘The Flash’, but all that will be on a hiatus for a while. This is because the 21-year-old is opting to stay uber focused on his potential Interim title fight.

In this regard, he tweeted, “I’m done making ig videos until i get that contract to fight luke Campbell”

Garcia holds the WBC Silver Lightweight belt and seems to be the lucky individual to fill in for Javier Fortuna. Earlier ‘El Abejon’ was penciled in to box Luke Campbell for the Interim belt with a chance to face the full champion, Devin Haney, in a unification contest.

However, ‘El Abejon’ opted to face former World Champion Jorge Linares for a diamond title. This decision left ‘Cool Hand’ without an opponent. The Brit last competed in August 2019 and fell to Vasiliy Lomachenko who reigns as a Franchise Champion.

Following the franchise tag and Haney’s injury, the Interim bout was earlier for the full title. However, due to delays owing to the coronavirus pandemic, the governing body reinstated Haney as a full champion from his “Champion in recess” tag.

A per the reinstatement clause, ‘The Dream’ has to face Campbell or his opponent. A present with the way things stand it most likely to be Garcia.
